Hello Hip Hop Heads and Horror Fans,
Today I will be reviewing Ensilence’s EP, “Ghetto Gorgeous”. I came across Ensilence on IG thru a mutual follower. There was a video where she was spitting poetic bars and I was pleasantly surprised. Began following her and came across this EP. I had to review it because it definitely deserves to be put on rotation and be heard! If I could describe Ensilence’s delivery and cadence it would be poetic rap! She reminds me of a mix of Jean Grae, Bahamadia and MC Lyte.
This EP consists of 7 tracks with a running time of 14 minutes. It is a dope project to just vibe to and chill! All production on this project is by Tekbeatz. Production is amazing you get a mix of boombap, jazzy and soulful beats. It meshes well with Ensilence’s lyrics. My favorite track is the title track, “Ghetto Gorgeous” it gave me an early 90’s vibe. Ensilence goes in with her smooth lyricism. Then you get, “Chemist Tree” that has a bit of a grimey feel to it. Check out this dope project! Don’t sleep on the goddess who is a dope emcee!
